Church Groups and Membership Management

Flexibility

  • Track how an individual/visitor is involved in a church through short or long-term groups, including classes, committees, events, and other church activities.
  • Manage multiple attributes for each church group
    • User-defined categories & sub-categories of church groups to identify sets (ex. Sunday School classes, youth events, choirs, bible studies, etc.)
    • Five user-defined attributes of attendance
    • Demographic information such as gender, marital status, age range, meeting times, geographic location, child care arrangements, topic, etc.
  • Define attributes for each individual’s involvement in a church group such as their function or position, type of involvement, join date.
  • Globally or selectively change individual involvement attributes.
  • Enroll in a group via an Active Server Page, provided by RDS Advantage for integration in the church’s web site. Alternately enter an individual’s involvement within the church office management software.
  • Track categories of attendees (ex. regular, occasional, guest) via user-defined involvement statuses.
  • Enter church attendance via manual and automated methods, including keytags, check-in cards, information retrieval via phone number or name, etc. See Insta Check-in in the Attendance Tracking area.
  • Write notes about each group’s session and/or about an individual
  • Log advisory office information about health issues (ex. food allergies), guardianship (individuals allowed to pick-up children), special needs (ex. transportation), etc.
  • Maintain a historical office record of an individual’s involvement in church groups, including attendance, by “exiting,” instead of deleting, the individual
  • Management of volunteers.

Cross-Promotion and Transfer Management

  • Promote individuals or entire groups to a new group with options to
  • Transfer, retain, or delete attendance information
  • Retain the individuals in the original group in addition to promoting them
  • Update individual attributes for the individual’s involvement in the new activity
  • Enter promotions to be implemented immediately or later.
  • Print office reports, nametags, labels, postcards, & envelopes, selected and sorted by promotions-related criteria.

Reporting and Data Exporting

  • Select and sort data, via user-determined criteria, to view, print or export data in many forms, including office reports, labels, envelopes, postcards, nametags, rolodex cards, directories, and data files in multiple formats, for either individuals or families.
  • Print or export lists of groups or individuals, including combined lists, selected and sorted by activity attributes.
  • Generate birthday and anniversary lists
  • Produce a list of the groups in which an individual participates
  • View, report, and export attendance information for all church groups for an individual or for all individuals in various formats and levels of detail using extensive selection criteria (see Attendance Tracking).
  • Customize a directory or a photo directory using criteria to determine who is included, and print options.
  • Create a bar-coded "time and talent" survey, which can include spiritual gifts, so that individuals can easily indicate their interests and the user can scan the barcodes to enter the data quickly.
  • Identify individuals who are NOT involved in church groups or in a set of groups (ex. Sunday School, discipleship groups, etc.) in order to encourage their participation.
  • Choose to include non-involved family members involved in the same group for office reporting, exporting, mailing and other office purposes
