Church Management Software
RDS Advantage© provides churches, not-for-profit institutions, denominational offices, and for-profit companies with comprehensive applications for: Accounting, integrated member, prospect and contributor database, activity, attendance and visitation functions, contact, notebook, NACH automated banking, contribution and pledge systems, report writer, library, scheduler, internet and e-mail interactivity and extensive report and export capabilities. Extensive web based applications are integrated with the database.
All applications and capabilities are included with the system.
Technical Considerations
RDS Advantage© is a 32 bit normalized RDBMS (relational
database management system). Any piece of data entered once can
be accessed and used anyplace else in the system without additional
data entry. Each piece of data is stored only once. It is written
in an object oriented, client/server programming environment.
It is a native Windows© application and can be operated on
any of the popular operating systems such as Windows2000/XP/2003
and Vista.
It is efficient on networks operated in either peer-to-peer or client/server
mode. Its ISAM file structure gives it speed, security and dependability.
It is powered by the Synergy development environment (Synergy/DE©)
from Synergex. This portable and scalable framework enables RDS
Advantage© to deploy native Windows applications while integrating
seamlessly with emerging technologies, such as Web data access,
e-commerce solutions, and third party software. Synergy/DE©
has a long track record backed by millions of end-users worldwide,
and a substantial presence in a multitude of vertical industries.
Through its open architecture design, the system is not limited
by hardware manufacturers or operating systems.
It is both a multi-user and multi-entity application. It is multi-user
in that any number of users can be simultaneously entering data,
printing, or making inquiries, protected by file and record locking.
It is multi-enterprise in that data processing can be done for a
number of completely different entities, with complete security
of data for each.
Installation and Upgrades
The system is installed with a compact disk (CD).
It resides on each workstation of a network. Subsequent enhancements,
upgrades and new versions can be downloaded from RDS Advantage.
New versions are published on the web site several times a year
and made available (with an annual support agreement) by downloading.
The company adds several hundred enhancements and new features each
year.
Security
Access to applications and data can be restricted for each
user based upon systems, time of access, by dates and by mode of
operation (add, change, delete, print, view, etc.). Access to the
RDS Advantage system and the level of access is controlled by username
and password. Security controls are established through a menu. |
